Performance Poetry Workshop
participants learn basic vocal exercises, expression, inflection and nuances of performance poetry, delivery and stylization, developing characters. Includes demonstration.
Vocal/Song Writing Workshop
participants learn basics to harmonizing, vocal exercises, scales to compliment fundamentals of songwriting (various styles). Demonstration.
Drumming Workshop
participants will learn proper hand strikes, traditional rhythms and freestyle development when playing Conga and Jimbe.
Intro to Jewelry Making participants will learn basics of jewelry making, clasping, stylization of tribal wears, science of gemstone healing properties, choosing stones, chakra work, cultural/ceremonial styles.
Intro to Belly Dance
participants will learn basic dance moves, exercises, healing benefits of art form and African origins of the dance originating in Kemet, spread worldwide in traditional and sacred dance.
